Started wood working after I retired 9 years ago instead of firewood, making items that are useful, like to make videos of birds and animals that are on my property 95 % of wood are dead trees that come from our back yard.

New motor, wiper blade and arm, labor, Ford dealer gave a price of $700 I was able to repair it with a nail went to about 4 auto shops and online it was all ways the same thing no help wrong part this went on for about a month.

One year we kept feeding a squirrel family in one of our backyard big trees raw peanuts thinking the roasted salty ones wouldn't be as good for them/ Big mistake! Next spring we had peanut plants coming up in the lawns of all the neighbors! We also had to start microwavng the bird seed to keep all the feeder spoils from germinating all over the garden.

No one can understand the pain you feel. Rocky was your best friend and a unique dog. How dogs touch our heart with their sincerity and companionship. I watch your story and cry, I too have an older friend and I worry for that day that will surely come.

I think it would have made it also other birds have been known to kill and eat other small birds I just never seen that in till now.

My shop is more outside in less I 'am putting on a finish or gluing something up but with all my other items in there very little in cold weather or raining. Sounds like you might do a lot of work with hand tools. Good luck in the future.
I know your pain, I have had other dogs but can’t imagine life without my baby Havapoo, he is my everything and I am his. I love my husband of 40 years, he is a wonderful man and my grown children but my little boy won’t leave my side, sometimes my husband and I are sitting on the sofa watching tv and he’ll lift up his head just to look at me with the most beautiful adoring eyes, he’ll hold that position for a while and then just move on. He lets me know his love and loyalty in so many ways. I have never known such love and dedication, not even from my parents when I was little. I love him as much as I did my kids when they were small and dependent of me. I don’t want to think of loosing him, I am older so I pray that he goes first, I rather go through the pain and separation knowing he will not be left behind without me even though If I can’t imagine life without him. We love and need each other immensely, no other words to describe our relationship. He is my son and I am his mom. The Lord gave us these beautiful loving creatures to let us know their love is just a small sample of his perfect love for us. RIP Rocky.

Why did God make dogs? I'm a dog person. I've had dogs since I was five. Now, at 55, that's a lot of cherished companions and I can name every one of them, I think. Why did God make dogs? One of the main reasons God created dogs was to demonstrate his unconditional love, I think. Unlike humans who often love conditionally based on what they can get, dogs offer an unbiased and non-judgmental love. They don’t care what you look like, how successful you are, or what mistakes you’ve made - they adore you just the same. Their endless affection reminds us of the kind of unreserved love God has for His children.

@jgriff19861947 I'm 63. Maybe 10-15 years left. Want a red nose pit, and another great Dane. Will get more babies, just not sure when. Each one has their own personality and story. Just wish I could have had enough space for more. It's so hard to let them go. Never gets easier. I'm sorry for the loss of your baby. Get 2 or 3 more to replace your baby. You'll see all of them again.
